No individual titles, just poetry… Think of them as haiku verses in a giant single poem. 😉
I love writing silly haiku. It’s more fun than trying to be serious. XD
I wake up to hair.
In the kitchen I stand and
Sticky roll my pants.

No, you can’t have this.
No… Stop talking back to me
Complaining won’t help.

Oh, here’s some dog hair.
I wear my dog everywhere*
Dog hair in my bra.

Time to brush the dog
I put the hair in a pile
Look, another dog.

He digs in the snow
And flips it over his head.
But doesn’t like rain.

* I wasn’t sure if “every” was 2 or 3 syllables. I did some quick Googling and apparently most dictionaries list it as two.
If you’re being super precise, 4, but most people do say it as “ev-ry-where”…I’m positive that when I’m assessing syllables for rhyme patterns, I count it as the short three rather than the honest four…
Anywho…nice work, and that’s a good looking dog ya got there. 🙂
Thank you. He is beautiful and he knows it. 😀
And sorry, yes, I meant “every” being listed as two/3 not “everywhere.” My bad.
I knew what ya meant… 😉
I fixed it anyway. I am nothing if not a stickler for details. lol
Myself as well…
The struggle is real…
I click the back of my tongue when ‘pretending’ to speak, then count the clicks. I get three.
Good smiles, and I know your pain about the fur (but not the backtalk).
Malachi doesn’t talk back usually but I know most huskies do. I think the malamute in him may have mitigated that some. he does like to “song along” though.
everywhere is 4 syllables ev.er.y.where
two? nope ;-p
Like I said… I looked it up. “Everywhere” is three, In most dictionaries, every is not “ev-er-y” it’s “ev-ry” (that is the 2, where, being the third syllable). In middle english, it’s “ev-ry.” Look it up yourself if you don’t believe me.
